Gene Anderson started his coaching career in the 2006-2007 season as the girls' head  Coach.  The team concluded the season with a record of 12-3 and its first winning season.  The following year taking the head roll of the boys program and making the playoffs for the first time in school history.  Starting year 19 as boys head coach with a record of 210-167-5 varsity record.  Since taking over the boys program a JV team and a middle school team have been added.  Made the postseason nine times, four North Half Championship appearances, winning three of them. Three consecutive 5A State Championship appearances and culminating in a 2025 State Championship.
